We appreciate you contacting us to let us know of your concerns for the proposed changes to development plan for the Knighthill project. I will forward your comments to our City Clerk for the record and to be included in the packet the Mayor and Council members receive for the public hearing. Once an application is made, Mayor and Council are only able to make comments during the public hearing. I have copied Josh Beach, the staff member assigned to this project. I am not in favor of this change. We have a great community of homeowners between Lochsa Falls, Spurwing, & Paramount. An apartment complex seems out of place for this particular area. I am reaching out to you in order to help the City of Meridian maintain a strong name & keep it safe. In addition to Willow Creek Elementary School, there is Challenger School, there's a new bar & grill, there's a Tobacco store close by, & to me those establishments also pose threats to keeping our subdivisions safe by simply the people which they attract. I would like you all to consider this change taking place if it were your neighborhood and would like you to vote against this proposal and keep the area in question zoned as commercial as opposed to residential.
