First of all, welcome to Meridian!
Your email has been received by the Mayor's Office. We appreciate you contacting us to let us know of your concerns
for the proposed changes to development plan for the Knighthill project. I will forward your comments to our City Clerk
for the record and to be included in the packet the Mayor and Council members receive for the public hearing. Once an
application is made, Mayor and Council are only able to make comments during the public hearing.
I have copied Josh Beach, the staff member assigned to this project. He will be able to answer any questions you may
have regarding the Modification of the Development Agreement or the process.

Dear Ms. Milam,
We would like to express our position of being against the zoning change for several reasons;
I just retired to Meridian from Alaska after looking at the Boise area since the early 2000s. We
looked in Eagle and NE Boise but kept coming back to Meridian. After looking for over a year
found the home we wanted in Lochs Falls. WE bought our home in May and sold our AK home
and moved to this great a neighborhood in June. We enjoy the convenience of walking to Fred
Meyer,Walmart, keeping the zoning the way it is will add to this neighborhood shopping and
development. People move to housing developments for many reasons, but most for protecting
their investment. People move to apartments again for many reasons but for the most is a short
term residency with no investment or community longevity.
I will be traveling during the meeting on 3/1/2016, otherwise I would attend.
We ask you to deny this request for the zoning change to the allow apartments.
