Falls)
Dear Ms. Kruger:
Your email has been received by the Mayor's Office. We appreciate you contacting us to let us know of your concerns
for the proposed changes to development plan for the Knighthill project. I will forward your comments to our City Clerk
for the record and to be included in the packet the Mayor and Council members receive for the public hearing. Once an
application is made, Mayor and Council are only able to make comments during the public hearing.
I have copied Josh Beach, the staff member assigned to this project. He will be able to answer any questions you may
have regarding the Modification of the Development Agreement or the process.
Thank you for your comments and being part of the public process.

Subject: AGAINST - Proposed Rezoning for Apartments on Chinden near Linder (Lochsa Falls)
I am writing to let you know I am VERY AGAINST the proposed rezoning for the land on Chinden near
Linder. I understand a builder is seeking to put in multi -family apartments at that location. We live in Kelly
Creek and our children attend or will be attending Willow Creek (currently attending), Sawtooth Elementary
(currently attending) and RMHS (will be attending next year). As you are aware, these schools are already very
full - and the constant re -upping of levies to fund the new schools that are built (that are at capacity before they
even open) is not the answer. Developers need to be responsible not only for the costs of the new schools, but
also for making the necessary improvements needed to the infrastructure (roads, etc.) that these additions
require.
Additionally, I am EXTREMELY OPPOSED to the increased traffic this will bring into the subdivision and in
front of Willow Creek Elementary. As I am sure you are aware, we have already lost one of our children due to
a traffic accident in the neighborhood - and with increased traffic volumes, it is only a matter of time before this
happens again.
As leaders in our community, we are expecting the City to be responsible for making sure these sorts of changes
do NOT happen in our neighborhood - particularly when they are as strongly opposed as this issue clearly
is. There was a reason for the initial zoning, and it needs to stay that way.
