Dear Ms. Hanson:
Your email has been received by the Mayor's Office. We appreciate you contacting us to let us know of your concerns
for the proposed changes to the development plan for the Knighthill project. I will forward your comments to our City
Clerk for the record and to be included in the packet the Mayor and Council members receive for the public
hearing. Once an application is made, Mayor and Council are only able to make comments during the public hearing.
I have copied Josh Beach, the staff member assigned to this project. He will be able to answer any questions you may
have regarding the Modification of the Development Agreement or the process.
Thank you for your comments and being part of the public process.
Sincerely,
Danyele H Jansen van Beek

Subject: Opposition to change of zoning of property on Chinden near Linder
There has been a request, by a private developer, for a zoning change on Chinden Boulevard, at the entrance to the
Lochsa Falls subdivision. The request would change the zoning from commercial buildings only to multi -family
apartments. The request is solely in the interest of the private developer for substantial monetary gains with no regard to
the negative impact this type of development would have on the value of the homes that were, in good faith,
purchased/built by the owners of the homes in Lochsa Falls and surrounding subdivisions. As you well know, when each
of us purchased/built our homes, the zoning was for commercial only, which could enhance the value of our homes with
the convenience of close -by shopping, entertainment, etc.
I am thereby requesting that you VOTE NO on the request to change the zoning.
It would be appropriate and much appreciated if the City Council would uphold the rights of its existing
homeowners/citizens, as opposed to a request by a private developer solely for the purpose of lining his own pockets.
Sincerely,
Lori Hanson
