':ITY CLERKS OFFICE: Re: Public Hearing on March 3, 2016 for application H-2016-0006 by Iron Mountain Real Estate for Ammendment to the Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use for 5.28 Acres on 2662 E Magic View Drive Dear Planning and Zoning Commission, We have lived on a one acre lot adjacent to the proposed development for the past 32 years. We are very adamantly opposed to the proposed rezoning request of the 5.28 acres of land for multi -family development. The comprehensive plan was established for a purpose to provide a transition buffer from our acre subdivision to other uses. From Eagle Road west to Locust Grove the buffer has been maintained for office use or single residential homes. The many residents in our subdivision who have lived here for several years have trusted that the Planning and Zoning Commission would not deviate from this plan. What sense does it make to have a 5 acre parcel right in the middle of the other developments on Magic View with apartments? What kind of transition is this? And then what would prevent the adjoining 5 acre parcel to the east of also being changed. Additional traffic and many other concerns could be cited. The development directly west of this proposal has been well accepted since it consists of single -level housing units. Why not keep this zoning for office use or single family units to be consistent with the existing developments to the west and to the east? We are unable to attend the public hearing.
