comments to the City Clerk to be included in the public record for the hearing. If you have any additional questions,
Josh Beach is the staff member assigned to this project. I have copied him as well on this email.
Your comments will be part of the packet that Mayor and Council Members receive for the hearing. They are unable to

Subject: Proposed zoning change for property next to Challenger School and Lochsa Falls neighborhood. (SW corner of
Chinden and Linder)
Dear Mayor, City Council President, and Council Members,
We are concerned citizens and property owners in Lochsa Falls. We feel that the proposed zoning change to allow
construction of multifamily apartments on commercial property should be turned down for the following reasons:
1. Not an appropriate development for this property.
2. Schools are overcrowded, and with more residential areas being developed overcrowding will get worse.
3. Safety concerns due to increased traffic. The property only has two point of access and egress, one from
Chinden and one from Linder.
4. Property values in Lochsa Falls will drop if proposed multifamily apartment development is shoehorned in on
the adjacent property.
