Subject: Southwood Subdivision rezoning & conditional permit use
Approving the rezone and conditional use permit for the property located at 2090 South Meridian Rd goes against
the wishes of all of the neighbors I have talked to. 1 live on Cakdervvood, I purchased my home here because it
was a quiet residential neighbofiood. The kind of faafity you have approved for this neighborhood will increase
the danger to my children, with additional traffic, noise and litter. It will decrease my property value and make it
d'dticuR to sell my property.
I would not have purchased my house on Calderwood if I had known you could change the zoning of the empty
lots from Rat to R-15. This seems not only unfair but unreasonable.
It was my understanding that density could onty be changed one step. What happened to your rules? When were
ttiey changed?
Your decision to approve an 11 step increase to the zoning is wrong. I am sure there must be places in or around
Meridian or Boise that are already zoned for this kind of a project. Put the businesses where the zoning allows for
them, don't change the zoning in residential areas to create spots for business.
