Easy Jet and Eagle Proposal
I would like to go on record as opposing any development that would be 3 stories tall at the intersection of Easy Jet and Eagle.
It is my understanding JUB (developer) has filed to change the zoning density and intends to build 3 story apartments, and in the last meeting
on 15 -Oct, it was the Commissioner's recommendation to allow 2 story units, and reducing the units by 16, to a new total of 48 Units, in the
sam footprint
I can accept this recommendation, but want to state I am opposed to any increase in density above this recommendation. I would hope that
the Commissioner's recommendations are not overlooked.
Also, I want to ensure this propose development has adequate parking, and green space and noise management. What assurances do we have
that this developer and its future residents will not be counting on using the green -space in Sutherland Downs? We paid a premium in our
subdivisions lot costs, and continue to pay in irrigation and maintenance costs. If others from a high density apartment complex across the
street are allowed to access and use this space, it is an unfair burden for those residents.
Something else to think about is burglary. As residents of the apartment complex become aware that our subdivision of Sutherland Downs
has mostly seniors living here, they might think that we would be an easy target for crime.
I want to go on record to object this significant increase in density and skyline impact less than one block from where I live. The owner of
this proposed plan's intent is to get more income, and doesn't care about the outcome. Please don't change the zoning.
What is the purpose of having zoning put in place, if individuals can so easily have them changed?
Best Regards,
Grace Clark
