Once again, as stated in earlier requests and our signed petition, we recognize the owner's right to develop their property, but we are requesting that the project would be more cohesive and enhance the surrounding developed properties. And we also understand the need for growth as well. But as indicated a good fit would be single family homes, patio homes, town homes, condominiums, senior apartments or houses, duplexes or four -plexus, etc.. Three story buildings would not be a good fit with the building structures in this area. Parking is another issue of many also. We currently live in Southerland Downs, across the street behind Easy Jet in the town homes. Right now our parking is at least the minimum, and when we have guests they are parking down the street or wherever parking is available without parking in someone' driveway. We currently have three adults in our home driving and three cars. The parking that they have proposed is not realistic, since it only allows one and a half parking space per unit. We are already experiencing problems with that here without the project going any further as it is proposed. Since they cannot park on Easy Jet they will certainly be looking for parking spots in our area since it is across the street from where they are proposing the apartment buildings. Not only that but the traffic in the morning hours between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. is already congested and is a big concern. These are only a few of the concerns of our neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods but there are so many that have come up with this proposed project that we feel it needs to be reviewed at a deeper in-depth look since our last meeting at the planning and zoning committee. Please take in consideration all of the concerns with this project, and please note that the majority of the people in this area of Southerland Downs are retired senior citizens.
