RE: Hassell Corner Subdivision, Annexation, PD, and Rezone Requests
Dear Mayor and Council,
Please continue the public hearings for the Mussel) Corner Subdivision Annexation, Rezone, and Planned
Development. We are asking for the continuance in order to hear back ti'om ITD on whether or not we
will be granted access onto SH69 (Kura-Meridian Road). Access to this rile fs of major importance and
we want to make sure that the issue is resolved before we are in fi•ont of you to request approval of the
project. The Commission felt that this was a major issue and we agree.
We have been waitiug for over a matteh for ITD to respond to our traffic study and request for access
onto SH69 (Kona-Meridian Road). We met with them last week to determine the delay in our request and
it turns out that they (11'D) had the application, but it had been sitting on a desk waitiug for a signature
before they would process it. Unfortunately, the person who needed to sign it was nut notified that they
needed to sign it, so it sat on a desk until we called to find out why we had not heard anything. This issue
has been resolved and the permit is now being processed 6}~ ITD.
We feel that ITD will have aft answer for us in less than a moutli, but we want to give ourselves some
flexibility, therefore we would ask that you continue the public hearings for one mouth. We appreciate
your help in this matter and we look, faivard to meeting with you to discuss the proposed development
with you in the future.
