Site Description Settlers Village Square Phase 2: Tennis courts Storm Water Management Report The project proposes to construct a parking area, five (5) new tennis courts (4 performance courts and 1 stadium court) and three (3) 10 and under courts at the existing park. Thirty five additional parking stalls will be constructed with a right-in/right-out access from W. Ustick Road. The tennis and parking lot project lies within the existing 56 acre Settlers Park. The project limits are approximately 2.85 acres. Peak Run -Off Rate & System Sizing Site Drainage Areas The drainage from the parking lot area of the project will sheet flow across the asphalt surface to the curb and gutter and to catch basins. The flow will discharge through sand and grease traps and into a sub -surface seepage bed. The drainage from the tennis courts will sheet flow to the surrounding lawn area swales that will collect the runoff and direct it to area drains. These area drains will be connected together with perforated pipe that will allow the runoff to infiltrate into the natural sub -soils. The following calculations show that the proposed facilities are adequately sized to accommodate the expected storm water runoff from the site. The site is divided into tributary areas, each with its own drainage system. An overview of the site is given in Appendix A. Developed Storm Volume The drainage systems have been designed to store the 100 -year, 1 -hour event. The drainage calculations are shown in Appendix B.
