R.B: Saguaro Canyon Subdivision
Dear Mayor and Council,
]n the past few weeks we have had two neighborhood meetings with the landowners
located within 300"of the proposed Saguazo Canyon Subdivision. The topic oi' discussion
at the meetings ranged from compliance with the Comprehensive Plan to what type of
i'ent:ing would be appropria[e around the perimeter of the subdivision and everything in
hetween.
Although no written agreement was made with the neighbors, it became apparent at the
meetings that the neighbors felt that the lots adjacent to the perimetu of the suhdivision
should Ge made bigger to t~educe the impact on the utisting home sites. To accommodate
this request 8 additional lots were removed from the perimeter of the subdivision, and
that land was spread out among the remaining lots to increase the site of the remaining
lots, The average lot size on the perimeter of the subdivision on die east, aztd north
(includin6 northwest) boundaries are now several thousand square feet bigger (12,000+
square feet) than the minimtttn lot size fur the R-4 zone (B,000square feet).
Appropriate fenoing for the subdivision was almost agreed to (one neighbor objected),
and that wa,. for a vinyl fence (5' fall with 1' of lattice) ro be consuvcted along the east,
attd north property line. A stone fence adjacent to the Yriddy's and Adkins's properties on
the west side of the subdivision near the northwest cornet ol'the subdivision. We feel that
the fCnCi11$, as outlined above, will provide for an attractive border and of"ii;clive buffer
berivccn the existing and proposed subdivisions.

their five-acre parcel prior to the City CaunciI Meeting on the 13"'.
