HomeMy WebLinkAboutTask Order 10277 with Civil Survey Consultants, Inc. for Nine Mile Creek Pipe Replacement Utility AdjustmentTASK ORDER NO. 10277 Under the MASTER AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN CITY OF MERIDIAN (OWNER) AND CIVIL SURVEY CONSULTANTS, INC (ENGINEER) This Task Order is made this day of August , 2011 and entered into by and between the City of Meridian, a municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of Idaho, hereinafter referred to as "City", and accepted by CIVIL SURVEY CONSULTANTS, INC, hereinafter referred to as "Engineer" pursuant to the mutual promises, covenant and conditions contained in the Master Agreement (Category 1 B) between the above mentioned parties dated April 13, 2010. The Project Name for this Task Order 10277 is as follows: NINE MILE CREEK PIPE REPLACEMENT - UTILITY ADJUSTMENTS SCOPE OF SERVICES Per the City's request, the Engineer will provide professional engineering services related to the adjustment of the existing water and sewer systems in conjunction with the Ada County Highway District Project No. 306007 GIS #IN270.01. It will be the City's responsibility to negotiate and execute the Joint Effort Agreement for construction with ACRD. A set of City of Meridian utility plans will be prepared once the City has provided our office with AutoCAD electronic files of the final design submittal to ACHD. The City will obtain permission from ACHD to use the electronic files for utility design purposes. All required work to lower the existing utilities under the realigned Nine Mile Creek will be performed under ACHD's agreement with the Irrigation District. The City will handle all coordination with ACHD and the Irrigation District. Task 1 —Administration 1.1 This task includes duties associated with setting up the contract and submitting monthly invoices. Task 2 — Design Utility Adjustments 2.1 This task includes reviewing sewer main CCTV provided by the City and identifying existing sewer service connection locations. 2.2 This task includes work associated with marking pothole locations, coordinating potholing with contractor, and reviewing results. It is anticipated that there will be four existing sewer services that will need to be potholed. Each service will be potholed twice to establish a pipe grade. 2.3 Field Survey of existing sewer main and Nine Mile Creek culvert in Washington Street to assist in determining if a conflict exists. Task Order 10277 Nine Mile Creek Pipe Replacement — Utility Adjustmensis Page 1 of 5 Civil Survey Consultants, Inc. 2.4 Adjust water main at two locations where conflicts exist with the new Nine Mile Creek pipe. 2.5 Adjust two water services where conflicts exist with the new Nine Mile Creek pipe. 2.6 Adjust four sewer services where conflicts exist with the new Nine Mile Creek pipe. This scope of services does not include redesigning new sewer services when a lack of elevation exists to allow services to be adjusted at new pipe crossing. Task 3 — Construction Document Preparation and Review 3.1 Develop plans and specifications and bid schedule that meet current design standards and standard specifications of the City and ISPWC. 3.2 Submit 2 full size physical copies of plans and special provisions to City Engineering for Development Services review and approval, Engineer to revise plans as necessary and resubmit. 3.3 Submit 4 full size physical copies of plans and special provisions to City Engineering for QLPE review and approval, Engineer to revise plans as necessary and resubmit. 3.4 Submit one sets of plans and specifications to ACHD for bidding purposes. 3.5 Prepare final construction documents with inclusion of any addenda from the bidding phase and provide one physical copy for City's use and 10 physical copies for contractor's use. Task 4 — Construction Services 4.1 Provide one set of construction stakes for the sewer service adjustments. It is anticipated that one point will be staked for each service. Staking will be completed as requested by the City and Contractor. 4.2 Attend pre-bid meeting. 4.3 Attend pre -construction meeting 4.4 Answer BFI's from contractor during bidding and construction about the design. 4.5 Review material specifications submitted by contractor. 4.6 Prepare record drawings meeting the City of Meridian Acceptance of Record/Electronic Drawings, dated August 26, 2009. TIME OF PERFORMANCE Engineering services will be completed as needed to construct adjustments in conjunction with ACHD Project No. 306007 GIS #IN270.01. COMPENSATION The Not -To -Exceed amount for this Task Order No. 10277 is Nine Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighteen dollars ($9,818.00). The hourly rates for services and direct expenses is attached as Exhibit A and by this reference made a part hereof. Costs will be billed for actual time services are rendered up to the Not -to -Exceed amount. No compensation will be paid over the Not -to -Exceed amount without prior written approval by the City in the form of a Change Order.
