HomeMy WebLinkAboutTask Order 10268 with SPF Water Engineers for Reuse Tank Mixing and Disinfection Improvements Project WWTPTASK ORDER NO. 10268 Under the MASTER AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN CITY OF MERIDIAN (OWNER) AND SPF WATER ENGINEERING (ENGINEER) This Task Order is issued by Owner and accepted by the Engineer pursuant to the mutual promises, covenant and conditions contained in the Master Agreement (Category 2A) between the above named parties dated April 13, 2010. WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT Reuse Tank Mixing and Disinfection Improvement Project PURPOSE Engineer shall prepare a preliminary engineering report and construction plans and specifications to install a new tank mixing and disinfection control system for the reuse facility at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The tank mixing and disinfection control system shall provide operational control over the reuse disinfection scheme and monitoring and meet permit conditions. The preliminary engineering report will discuss tank mixing and disinfection control alternatives and summarize the recommended improvements and associated estimated costs. After City review and approval of the recommendations, Engineer shall prepare a final preliminary engineering report for DEQ review and approval. Following the preliminary engineering report approval from DEQ, Engineer shall submit construction plans and specifications to DEQ for review and approval. Engineer shall assist the City through the construction bidding process. Project Deliverables include: • Draft Preliminary Engineering Report for City Review • Final Preliminary Engineering Report for DEQ Review and Approval • Construction Plans and Specifications (DEQ Review and Final Bid Package) • As-Builts The Anticipated Project Schedule: • Draft Preliminary Engineering Report — completed within 21 days of notice to proceed • Final Preliminary Engineering Report — completed within 7 days of receiving City comments (anticipate 4 to 6 weeks for DEQ review and approval) • Construction Plans and Specifications — completed within 21 days of Final Preliminary Engineering Report (anticipate 4 to 6 weeks for DEQ review and approval) 1 OF 2 Engineer shall prepare the construction plans and specifications concurrently with the preliminary engineering report review period by DEQ. Immediately after DEQ approval of the preliminary engineering report, the plans and specifications will be submitted to DEQ. Exclusions — Electrical and control design or programming services are not included in this Task Order. After the preferred alternative is identified by the City, and City has acquired a firm to provide necessary electrical and control design for project bidding purposes, Engineer will coordinate with the selected engineering firm to incorporate their construction documents into the project bid package. COMPENSATION The Not -to -Exceed amount for the engineering services to complete this Task Order No. 10268 is fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00). Costs will be billed for actual time services are rendered up to the Not -to -Exceed amount. The hourly rate for services and direct expenses are per the Master Agreement, and by this reference made a part hereof. No compensation will be paid over the Not -to -Exceed amount without prior written approval by the City in the form of a Change Order.
