This Task Order is issued by City and accepted by the Engineer pursuant to the mutual promises,
covenant and conditions contained in the Master Agreement between the above mentioned parties
dated April 13, 2010.
TEN MILE ROAD AND USTICK ROAD INTERSECTION
UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Per the City's request, the Engineer will provide professional engineering services related to the
design of new and relocated water, sewer, and reclaimed water system improvements to be
constructed in conjunction with the Ada County Highway District Project No. 310023.
The Engineer is ACHD consultant for the intersection improvement project and is preparing plans
and specifications for the intersection project. The Engineer will prepare line work, bid item notes
and special provisions for the utility improvements and include them on the plans and in the project
specifications prepared for ACRD. A separate plan set will not be prepared by the Engineer.
Task 1 —Administration
1.1 This task includes duties associated with setting up the contract and submitting
monthly invoices.
1.2 Prepare preliminary construction estimate.
Task 2 — Desitin Utility Improvements
2.1 Adjust approximately 11 existing water valve boxes to grade.
2.2 Adjust water main at approximately 3 locations where conflicts exist with new storm
drain or irrigation pipes.
2.3 Adjust approximately 3 existing water meter lids to grade.
2.4 Adjust approximately 2 existing blowoff lids to grade.
2.5 Install 2 new fire hydrant assemblies at the intersection.
2.6 Adjust one existing reclaimed water valve box to grade.
2.7 Install 12" reclaimed water main in Ustick Road. Approximately 336' to the west and
approximately 626' to the east.
Task 3 — Construction Document Preparation and Review
3.1 Develop bid item notes and special provisions that meet current design
standards and standard specifications of the City and iSPWC. Prepare final
construction cost estimate.
3.2 Submit 2 full size physical copies of plans and special provisions to City Engineering
for Development Services review and approval, Engineer to revise plans as
necessary and resubmit.
3.3 Submit 4 full size physical copies of plans and special provisions to DEQ for review
and approval, Engineer to revise plans as necessary and resubmit.
Task 4 — Construction Services
4.1 Provide one set of construction stakes for each fire hydrant and for the blowoffs on
the end of the reclaimed water main. It is anticipated that the staking will be
completed in one visit to each site. Staking will be completed as requested by the
City and Contractor.
4.2 Attend pre -construction meeting.
4.3 Answer RFI's from contractor during bidding and construction about the design.
4.4 Review material specifications submitted by contractor.
4.5 Prepare record drawings meeting the City of Meridian Acceptance of
Record/Electronic Drawings, dated August 26, 2009.
TIME OF PERFORMANCE
Engineering services will be completed as needed to construct improvements in conjunction with
ACHD Project No. 310023.
COMPENSATION
The Not -To -Exceed amount for this Task Order No. 10256a is Six Thousand One Hundred and
Fifty dollars ($6,150). The hourly rate for services and direct expenses is attached and by
reference made part hereof.
