The Contractor is hereby directed to make the following changes from the Contract Documents and Plans.
Description:
The length of the casing under the Kennedy lateral was designed to be 80' in length. Nampa & Meridian Irrigation
District has
determined that a 50' casing is adequate to protect the Kennedy lateral.
Reason for Change Order:
Reduce the length of the casing at the Kennedy Lateral Crossing from 80' to 50'. This reduction in length will result
in a cost
saving to the City of $3,100.00
Attachments:
1. Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District Letter authorizing the reduction in casing length.
2. CO #3 from Brown Construction showing the reduction in pricing.

This letter is in response to our onsite meeting on March 16, 2011. The proposal to shorten
the sleeve for the Kennedy Sewer Crossing from the planned eighty feet (80') to fifty feet
(50') should suffice to protect the Kennedy Lateral. Therefore this will be acceptable to
Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District.
