Re: Pine Street and Linder Road Intersection - Additional Services
Task Order No. 10170
Dear Brent:
The following additional services are required for the Pine Street and Linder Road intersection water and
sewer improvement project:
I. An additional six potholes by Circle H Construction were required to locate the existing
water mains and sewer services.
6 each @ $250::ea = $1500
2. Additional time to coordinate, stake, and map additional potholes
Engineer 1 - 2 hrs @ $110/hr = $220
Survey Crew -- 1 hr @ $140/hr = $140
3. In conjunction with City Staff it was determined that some existing sewer service lines will
need to be reconstructed due to a conflict with the new 36" RCP Irrigation line to be
constructed underneath the sidewalk by ACHD. This required reviewing CCTV provided by
the City and locating the existing sewer services. Reconstruction of the sewer services was
added to the project plans, specifications, and cost estimate.
Engineer 1 - 24 hrs @ $110/hr = $2,640
4. The City has requested that we prepare descriptions and maps for six easements and assist the
City in obtaining property owner signatures. Easements are required for fire hydrants and
water meters that must be placed on private property due to an insufficient amount of
right-of-way behind the sidewalk.
Engineer 1 - 7 hrs @ $110/hr = $770
Survey Crew 2 hr @ $140/hr = $280
Chief of Surveys — 3 hr @ $118/hr = $354
We are requesting $5,904.00 to cover the additional services. The revised total contract amount will be
$16,859.00.
Sincerely,
CIVIL RV Y ONSULTANTS, INC.
