This Task Order is issued by Owner and accepted by the Engineer pursuant to the mutual
promises, covenant and conditions contained in the Master Agreement between the above named
parties dated g, 2010.

Grit System Improvement Memorandum
PURPOSE
The Engineer's scope of services, time of completion and compensation shall be as set forth
herein. Services shall generally be described as engineering services to prepare a technical
memorandum to provide information related to replacing the existing grit handling and disposal
system at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
The technical memorandum will compare various grit handling equipment including standard grit
classifyers and grit washing systems. The comparison will include economic and non -economic
advantages and disadvantages in adequate detail for the City to select a preferred alternative. In
addition to evaluating grit handling equipment, the technical memo will offer recommendations for
improving and/or replacing the existing grit system drain piping that currently plugs,
repairing/replacing the existing concrete supporting diversion slide gate(s) that are failing, and
evaluating air supply and piping for the grit basin air lift systems.
The technical memorandum will summarize the recommended improvements and associated
estimated costs.
Project Deliverables include:
• Draft Technical Memorandum for City Review
• Final Technical Memorandum Incorporating City Comments
The Anticipated Project Schedule:
• Draft Technical Memorandum — completed within 30 days of notice to proceed
• Final Technical Memorandum — completed within 15 days of receiving City comments
COMPENSATION
The Not -to -Exceed amount for the engineering services to complete this Task Order No. 10046 is
thirteen thousand five hundred dollars ($13,500.00).
The hourly rate for services and direct expenses are per the Master Agreement, and by this reference
made a part hereof.
