CITY OF MERIDIAN Meridian Fuel Tank Containment PURPOSE The Consultant's scope of services and compensation shall be as set forth herein. Services shall generally be described as materials testing and inspection services. TASK 1 — Testing and Inspection Consulting Services Per the City's request, the Consultant will provide professional testing and inspection consulting services relating to the construction of the Meridian Fuel Tank Containment Project. A. PROJECT UNDERSTANDING It is our understanding the proposed Fuel Tank Containment Project will be located northwest of the intersection of West Ustick Road and North Ten Mile Road in Meridian, Idaho. The project consists of constructing concrete wall and slab containment areas around an existing fuel tank. B. SCOPE OF SERVICES Based on discussions with you and review of the project drawings, project specifications, local construction practices and our experience on similar projects, we anticipate the scope of our services will generally include the following: 1. Observation and in-place density testing of fills associated with construction of the concrete slab areas. 2. Laboratory moisture -density relationship tests. 3. Fresh properties and compressive strength testing of concrete. 4. Epoxy Anchor Inspection It is our understanding that Terracon will not be observing the concrete reinforcement. We anticipate performing the materials testing on a periodic (on call) basis. COMPENSATION Terracon's fees for completing the scope of services described above are provided in the attached Exhibit C. The costs shown are based upon the estimated quantities indicated. Additionally, we have estimated the total fee to provide the testing services We are available to discuss these services and our total fee estimate with you at your convenience. D. ACCEPTANCE This proposal may be accepted by issuing the appropriate task order in accordance with our Master Agreement for Professional Services. To expedite initiation of work, the contract documents can be sent electronically to T. Matt Koster (tmkoster@terracon.com) or faxed to our Boise Office at 208-323-9592. This proposal is valid only if authorized within 60 (sixty) days from the listed proposal date.
