I spoke with you're office about this before my neck surgery two weeks ago. I feel that the City is expanding at an unmanageable rate. It seems as though every project presented is approved yet we are seeing Bond Measures and increased Utility rates to support this rapid growth passed on to your existing residents. I feel these costs should be absorbed solely by the new developments, not the existing tax / rate payers. (with few exceptions) After speaking with neighbors, it seems as though they did not receive proper notification of this development and pending meetings, especially those that live on E Pasacana. Half of them will have this project adjoining thier backyard. In the last seven years I've been asked to support crowded, poorly funded schools, roads, wastewater etc. Last year, we were even asked to avoid watering our lawns after the irrigation systems were secured for the winter. Public Safety and traffic is another serious concern. It seems as though there are more and more accidents on our roads evey day. It is unlikely that I will make it too this meeting tonight, however, hope that my thoughts will be shared with those in attendance. This meeting is to discuss an extension on the timeline for this development. I am apposed to this project for a number of reasons including that it does not fit in with the neighborhood. It is not what was originally proposed. It will have a negative affect on my property value and, considering the surge of growth within City limits, it is apparent that there is a lack of infrastructure in place to continue to expand at this pace. Example, traffic, schools, wastewater and potable water, all of which has either been a sauce to raise rates, restrict use and or added bond measures to support them. I will be having spine surgery on October 21 st and hope to have my voice heard on this matter. Is there anyway to ensure my thoughts are shared as I will not be able to attend this Hearing.
