Skyward application

Dear Ms Mayer and City Council: Respectfully- I would ask that you REMAND the application for
the Skyward development application.
The current rendition of this development is in direct opposition to the requested changes made
by all stakeholders who have respectfully gone through the entire process of providing repeat
input to the Meridian City Comprehensive Plan for the southern area of the city. We have
repeatedly asked the city to respect the step ups in density and lot sizes to our more rural and
estate neighborhoods in the south end of the city. The development plan calls for lots that are
much too small in size, do not allow for large open spaces and adds unprecedented density right
next to an existing neighborhood that is significantly more wide open with larger lots.
Additionally, this tightly packed planned development adds to an already critical overcrowding in
our schools in this area.
Skyward, as it is currently planned, is NOT in keeping with the nature of our area- It is in defiance
of repeat requests to use the comprehensive plan that honors the nature of our more
rural/estate area and is NOT helpful our existing schools.
I would ask that the City Council honor the requests of its citizens and tax payers- PEOPLE WHO
TRULY OWN A STAKE IN THIS AREA- and NOT to the P&Z employees who continue to mow over
our requests for a change in what is platted and approved for their own convenience. We want a
city that will stand the test of time and that honors our past- not a tightly packed and
overcrowded suburb that will decline drastically in a short time frame.
Thank you
