As a citizen of Meridian and Movado Community I am greatly confused and disappointed. As I understand things the city
spent tax dollars to have a city development plan developed. Shortly there after the city accepts a request to change it
and now another one under consideration to expand the original. Many of the recommendations from ACHD were not
accepted and because of this the traffic from these apartments gets pushed back thru the Movado neighborhood to
access the light. In the last meeting I attended the council delayed a vote on this change. The date change did not follow
the statutes. . .so why have them. One member called this the "Meridian Way" I would call it contempt for the statute
and a win for the contractor because this would NOT ALLOW FOR PROPER NOTICE.
I have ben requested to support another delay to allow for a traffic study. I will support the delay BUT NEVER THE
PROJECT.
Changing the city plan from offices/light commercial to apartments is wrong and wasteful of funds already spent. More
important I think is the impact to SCHOOLS. Many people use the planning from the city to make decisions
Please don't let growth come at a cost of quality.
