To the City of Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission and whomever it may
concern,
We would like to send in this letter to oppose the H-2019-0068 rezoning. Living
on Apgar Creek Drive we already experience, on a daily basis, the problems with traffic,
parking, speeding and littering. Traffic from the Selway apartments speed past my
house every single day doing well over the posted 25mph. Also a failure to p lan on
Selway apartments has left no parking for all of its residents and has caused all
overflow to cross the street and park in front of all out houses on Apgar Creek. It has
become such a large ordeal that it caused fights with our Homeowner’s Association and
Management Company and ended with the Lolo Pass private lane on the side of my
house becoming a no parking fire lane. So because of the parking issue, we have
already lost half of our available street parking. And then to top it all off, we get litt ering
in our yard from said car traffic and foot traffic that is coming through to use our private
subdivision park, even though it is not meant for them. So our fear is that if the H-2019-
0068 rezoning is approved, it will not only compound on the already existing issues, it
will start a whole new myriad of problems. We already fear for our children’s safety with
traffic and speeding. Please DO NOT approve H-2019-0068 as we feel it will exacerbate
the danger for not only our children but us as well.
