2019-10-15 Robert and Barbara Spryn1 Adrienne Weatherly From:Robert <robert.s.spryn@gmail.com> Sent:Tuesday, October 15, 2019 6:25 PM To:Meridian City Clerk Subject:Development Agreement Modification #H-2019-0099, Conditional Use Permit #H-2019-0104 This is to inform you that we are residents living at the Village of Movado in Meridian (Robert and Barbara Spryn / 2052 S Gedalio Ln /Meridian Idaho 83642) and have been made aware of plans to develop and amend certain permits associated with File #H-2019-099 and File #H-2019-0104 (Development Agreement Modification and Conditional Use Permit) associated with Silverstone Apartments. We live off of Movado Way and believe that there will be significant negative impact associated with increased traffic, condensed population, increased crime, and negative appearances of the neighborhood. This will have a dramatic negative effect on property value. It should be known that prior to purchasing our dream home at the Village of Movado, our decision was based on the current plans in place and that our decision would have been different had we known about the potential for apartment homes. The amendments and modification requests do not provide any benefit to the current citizens and only benefit the builders and developers who will be long gone when its done... Even the City of Meridian will be a loser in the long run. It is the duty and responsibility of the City of Meridian to protect its residents from planning changes that will negatively impact the neighborhoods that we have strategically chosen as our home. I am sure that many of us would have looked elsewhere if we had known of the proposed changes when we purchased our homes. Please do NOT let this happen. We really need the City of Meridian to step up and protect its citizens. Do not contribute to the demise of the City, but rather take a stand and make this a place where people want to live and not a place where we decide enough is enough and move elsewhere. To date, the City appears to be diligent and careful in its thinking about growth. Please continue in that regard. Do let this become a second class, second chance city, but rather a first class city. Make it a desired location! As such, please make it known that we strongly oppose these modifications and respectfully request the City of Meridian to deny the Development Agreement Modification and Conditional Use Permit ( File # H- 2019-0099 and # H - 2019-0104). These requests need a NO vote and should be DENIED without further debate. Respectfully, Robert and Barbara Spryn / 2052 S Gedalio Ln. / Meridian Idaho 83624
