Subject:NW corner of Linder and Ustick
I can not make it to the meeting tonight on this topic, but wanted to voice my opposition to the installation of even more
storage units and apartments in Meridian at the NW corner of Linder and Ustick.
The roads and schools in the area simply can't accommodate the high-density population increase that even more
apartments in the area would bring.
With storage units already on Ten Mile between Ustick and McMillan, and new ones going in now on McMillan between
Ten Mile and Linder, there is just no reason for even more at Linder and Ustick. It's almost comical that there are so many
storage facilities in the area--much like all the dentists and credit unions in the area. If storage units are installed, it should
be a requirement that plants/trees are planted along the road to beautify the area and camouflage the very unattractive
buildings.
It is my understanding that the property has not been zoned for this kind of development. For the residents of Bridgetower
whose property abuts the currently open property and have thought for all these years that more single family homes
would be built there, the possibility of apartments and storage units must be very disheartening.
Thank you,
Lori Bridgeman
