I apologize in the past 2 to 3 years I’ve attended all meetings however I’m out of town due to work during this meeting time. I strongly object to the proposed project on Linder and Ustick. The apartment complexes are way out of character for the area. It will not fit in very well. I also have a major concern by the additional traffic and students for the local schools. That area is zoned for Hunter elementary and sawtooth middle school. My daughter currently attends Hunter elementary and that is already way over capacity they well more than 100 students. By adding Multi family dwelling units that is only going to multiply the problem. I have another child that went to sawtooth that also had large class size is due to overcrowding. Please deny this application for a number of different reasons. Even if they redesigned the apartment complex it still does not fix the problem with the overcrowding of the school. The original plans for that area is small commercial use. I am completely fine with that. When I purchased my home I did my due diligence and look at the future use land map. We need more small retail commercial space in this area not more apartments. We also have major concerns over the storage units that are proposed there as well. It does not fit in with the area whatsoever. There’s already a major storage unit under construction on McMillan Road less than a mile from this proposed location.
