My husband and I live in the first house after the old farm house on the right as you are driving into Dunwoody. That first curve is very dangerous during the winter/ice/snowyseason. When it snows that area from the old farm house all the way to just pass the fence line gets no sun as the right side is lined with pine trees. Snow gets packed and then turns to a sheet of ice. We have many vehicles coming around that first bend that end up in our yard. Every spring we have to replace sprinkler heads that have been damaged by vehicles. It is also a blind curve heading out of Dunwoody traveling west. I have a circular driveway. We exit out of our driveway off the second entrance/exit which is on the south east side of driveway. The second curve/bend in the road is a blind spot as well. It is an area of concern as again as people driving too fast during winter months end up on our lawn. I am concerned if additional traffic is added to Dunwoody someone is going to get hurt. We cannot have children trying to catch a bus or taking a walk playing or riding bikes. The road is not wide enough and there are no sidewalks. We have one life to live and it should not be shortened because of a decision made without first considering the lives and safety of those who live in Dunwoody. We need a safe place to live. We need to keep ourselves, our neighbors, kids and grandkids safe. Safety is of utmost priority. We can repair broken sprinkler heads all day long but a life cannot be replaced.
