I believe the development that you may be referring to is called Silver Springs; it is on the south side of McMillan Road closer to Locust Grove. I have reached out to our planning department regarding this development and want to let you know that it is an open application. Because this project is part of an open application, our City Council members are prohibited from commenting outside the public hearing. We take public feedback seriously and want you to know that we have received your email and have read your comments. This project is scheduled to be heard at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 6:00pm in the City Council Chamber at Meridian City Hal; you are welcome to attend if you are interested. I have also forwarded your email to our City Clerk and City Staff Member so it can be included in the discussion. I would also encourage you to get involved through the City’s Comprehensive Planning Process – a blueprint for growth. This process provides the current residents an opportunity to be engaged in how we plan to grow in the future. You can participate in the new Comprehensive Plan at: www.meridiancity.org/compplan . Please know your elected officials appreciate your thoughts and comments and understand the frustrations that many in our community are feeling as a result of growth.
