Subject:3 Corners Connecting Roads
Dear Stephanie,
My wife, Michelle, and I have concerns about any proposal to connect more than Shandi through the 3 Corners
neighborhood due to the already strained traffic situation due to neighborhood and school traffic. Additionally,
many children, including our five children walk to the school, and currently can do this relatively
safely. Connecting our neighborhood to the other neighborhoods in our large block would increase through
traffic for those avoiding traffic backups at the major intersections. Finally, increased traffic flowing out of our
neighborhood towards Locust Grove would cause an already strained intersection due to school traffic to get
worse and likely disrupt future intersection plans where Locust Grove meets Chinden. We understand the need
for Shandi to connect through and have no reservations about this plan.
