We live at the Dunwoody Ct. subdivision. Like anyone with children in the household are especially concerned with the elevated risk of accidents that increased traffic brings. I understand that Dunwoody Ct. may need to take some share of this traffic. I respectfully ask that you take specific consideration that Dunwoody Ct. is a county road without lighting, curbs, or sidewalks and having curves that create blindspots while driving. Drivers must be conscientious and proactive to look ahead of the curves to ensure they are clear of other cars and, more so, pedestrians. The lack of a sidewalk puts pedestrians, bikers, scooters, skaters, etc. on the street along with the vehicles. The lack of night-time lighting makes it more likely that drivers will have a harder time seeing individuals on the road. Given our short days in the winter, my kids are often on the road in the dark on their way to school using headlamps to light their way. The developer presented a plan for the Three Corners Ranch subdivision to the Dunwoody homeowners that included five access points. It’s my understanding that all of these, with the exception of Dunwoody Ct., are stubs planned to provide access to this acreage when developed. Dunwoody Ct. only became an option when an easement was use to build a driveway. It’s not clear how a driveway makes a suitable access point between Dunwoody and one of the subdivision’s new roads. The developer presented a different plan than the one presented to the Dunwoody homeowners that was approved by the ACHD making Dunwoody Ct. and W. Barclay St. the sole access points. The developer met with the Dunwoody home owners again after the ACHD meeting to explain the changes. But 2 he made it clear that he was not open to any changes. He explained the Dunwoody Ct. should expect to receive 40-50% of the Three Corners Ranch daily traffic. Again, I understand that Dunwoody Ct. may have to take some of this traffic, but 40-50% of the expected 400+ daily trips is too much for an unlit road with no curbs and sidewalks to protect pedestrians. Adding another 200+ daily trips on Dunwoody Ct. makes the road significantly more unsafe for pedestrians. I ask that the previously planned access points be utilized in the hope that it would better distribute the traffic and reduce the risk of accidents on Dunwoody Ct. Respectively, Troy Bergstrand 1970 E Dunwoody Ct
