Dear Meridian City,
I appreciate and acknowledge Dave Dean‘s efforts to limit traffic on Dunwoody as it could be a lot worse without the
gate.
Development is always hard, but a necessary part of growth; however Dunwoody was not intended to be a through
street.
Those of us who have small children on Dunwoody are worried about safety because there are no sidewalks; the road is
too narrow to accommodate parking with bidirectional traffic and the road has curves.
Pedestrians will have to trespass on their neighbors lawns in order walk safely, which is no big deal, but children don’t
always use good judgment. A child and his or her family may someday pay a big price.
A potential access point at Vienna Woods, which could be designed to handle pedestrian traffic as well as automobile
traffic is not being used.
Other neighborhoods in the area have to cope with through traffic, but they also have wider roads with sidewalks.
