Dear Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council,
On 17 March 2019 we submitted a letter of public testimony with our concerns on this
development. Since that time, the developer has worked with our community and has submitted a
revised plan that we can support. This is the same plan that the ACHD supported on 27 March 2019. We
feel that this is a balanced solution which shares the load of traffic from new development between
Barclay and Dunwoody while Sweet Valley will eventually take the traffic from Shandee.
However, we do not support the Meridian staff recommendation that would allow cut through
traffic from Locust Grove to Eagle if Stafford was connected. We also do not see the need for a 3rd gate.
Both Locust Grove, Eagle Rd and Chinden would be harder to access from the proposed third gate. The
third gate would add no value.
We appreciate that the new development is open to pedestrian traffic.
