I live on E. Three Corners which will be the main street in the neighborhood that will have heavily increased traffic if the Eagle Rd. to Locust Grove connection is made. At the entrance to the neighborhood from Locust Grove there is a blind corner that has already presented challenges to the safety of the kids in the neighborhood. I personally have four young boys aged 2-9 that live on this busy street. If the Eagle Rd. to Locust Grove option is implemented, the danger to the neighborhoods children would increase exponentially. I have observed the frustration of drivers on Chinden even to the point of cutting their commute down by driving through the dirt lot on the Southeast corner of Locust Grove and Chinden. If there were access from Eagle Road to Locust Grove through the neighborhood, considering the current debacle that is Chinden, I can’t imagine the number of cars that would use this new route in order to avoid Chinden. I believe that the alternative proposal to only connect Shandee (the Fuller Ranchettes) to Three Corners is the least intrusive option. I believe strongly that opening a corridor from Eagle Rd. to Locust Grove through Three Corners neighborhood would profoundly increase the chances of a calamitous danger to the children of the neighborhood as well as the children of The Ambrose School. Thank you for considering this earnest plea, Joe Gerber -- JOE GERBER Ninth Grade Humanities Instructor direct line | (208) 319-7928 jgerber@theambroseschool.org ______________________________________ THE AMBROSE SCHOOL 2 6100 N.
