Subject:3 Corners Cut Through
Dear City Council:
This message is regarding the hearing slated for May 16th 2019 regarding the potential cut through 3 Corners
subdivision. I oppose any plan that would allow through traffic from Eagle to Locust Grove or vice versa. This is
not in the best interest of any subdivision that traffic would pass through. It is especially problematic for
children living in the neighborhoods that will travel by foot and bike to the Ambrose School. This presents a
significant safety hazard throughout 3 Corners particularly as the cars approach Locust Grove and the
entrance to Ambrose. It would only take one accident to make this the wrong decision. I travel through the
neighborhood each day and see a number of corners that would be hazards. I believe the alternative proposal
to only connect Shandee to 3 Corners is the best option. This allows school traffic, but prevents those who do
not live in the surrounding subdivisions to cut through with the only commitment to the area of getting from
Eagle to Locust Grove or vice versa quickly. This would be a set-up for an eventual tragedy. I strongly
encourage the city council to protect the children and others in the neighborhood by voting against any cut
through from Eagle to Locust Grove or vice versa.
Thank you,
Kevin Krafft
