Z - Withdraw of ApplicationChris Johnson From: Jim Conger <jconger@congergroup.com> Sent: Thursday, May 2, 2019 7:57 AM To: Bill Parsons; Jim Conger Cc: Bill Nary; Ted Baird; Laren Bailey; Chris Johnson; Charlene Way; Andrea Pogue Subject: Re: Updated Staff Report R-15 Dimensional Standards UDC Text Amendment for 05/02/19 P/Z MTG Bill - thank you for your response but we are still not seeing the P&Z Commission's recommendation the same as you. believe you are correct in your email statement below that this was to be brought back with the "2019 UDC Changes" On behalf of DevCo LLC we would like to pull our R-15 dimensional standards UDC code text amendment. Reasoning for our action It was clearly told to the P&Z Commission that our developer driving UDC Code amendment could easily be put with the City's UDC code changes and that was the action that the Commission direct in December. Staff also noted it could be back to the P&Z Commission by January 2019. 1 had a project that was going to be stopped as we where well aware that the City's UDC code changes where not going to be on that stated schedule. I re -designed our housing product to fit within the missing components of the current R15 code. So we do not see any need to move forward with this code amendment. I will be at the P&Z hearing tonight if I need to explain our position to the Commission Members. The Commission's direction was to circulate the proposed changes with the UDC Focus Group to solicit their feedback on the requested changes to the R-15 dimensional standards and continue the project until such time as the City brought forth the 2019 UDC changes. I haven't received any new concerns with the requested change. I have updated the original staff report that I prepared because you initiated the change and paid a fee. Amending the staff report and placing commentary as to why it was modified and continued is the best way to keep an accurate record and have the project come to completion. I thought we where told by the p&z commission to put this in the UDC amendment that is also on going. My thoughts is this was not to be a separate time any longer. What am I missing. Thank you.
