CC - Revised Elevations Explanation1 Charlene Way From:Sonya Allen Sent:Tuesday, February 05, 2019 10:53 AM To:C.Jay Coles; Charlene Way; Chris Johnson Cc:Schrieber, Ronald Subject:RE: WinCo Revised Elevations Explanation Clerk – please add this email to the public record for the Linder Village AZ application. thanks From: Schrieber, Ronald <Ronald.Schrieber@wincofoods.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 5, 2019 10:23 AM To: Sonya Allen <sallen@meridiancity.org> Subject: WinCo Revised Elevations Explanation Sonya, It appears that the neighbors think that WinCo is not being responsive to the conditions placed on us by the city council. That cannot be further from the truth. The email that was uploaded to the public record on 1/31/19 with our elevations attached indicates that we made some minor tweaks to the metal panels on the elevations. As you are aware we had submitted the revised elevations originally on 1/24/19 where we explained the changes that were made to our elevations submitted to City Council for the January 15 th meeting. At your request, we went back and calculated the amount of metal on the revised elevations and found we needed to make some minor revisions to stay within the ordinance. That was when we sent the email that was added to the public record on 1/31/19. For clarification purposes I have attached (below) the original explanation of what was changed on the elevations to get to the elevations that will be presented to City Council with the Development Agreement. Please add this email to the public record. Per our conversation this afternoon, I have attached our revised elevations. We have revised the elevations per the requirements of the City Council to have them more closely match the shops retail elevations that CSHQA designed (attached). As you can see we have made significant changes to the materials and the colors on our building as requested and would like to submit these for the development agreement. Some of the changes include: • EIFS in a grid pattern on all sides of the building. • Stone accents along the front of the building. • Brick pilasters at the front entry as well as on the half wall and then also on the rear of the building in two locations. • Metal panel accents around the building. • Ribbed metal panel accents around the building. • Split faced CMU in two colors throughout the elevations. • Metal trellis elements along the front elevations. We have broken up the materials and colors throughout the elevations and have also used different planes to help break up any long flat faces. We feel what we have done here fulfills the intent of the requirements of the City Council and will tie the shopping center together as they have requested. We would be happy to meet with you to discuss any commen ts you may have or provide any clarifications you may need. 2 Regards, Ron Ronald R. Schrieber II Project Manager, Store Development 650 N.
