I take the opinion of our citizens extremely seriously. Because this is an open hearing, I have to refrain from any discussions outside of the official Council meeting. I have copied the City Clerk on this email so that it is part of the public record. My best regards to you and your family, Anne Anne Little Roberts Meridian City Council Sent from my iPad On Oct 29, 2018, at 3:37 PM, Heather Farley <willheather farley@hotmail.com<mailto:willheather farley@hotmail.com>> wrote: Dear Anne, I have never written an email or complained about this city but I have to get this off my chest. What is happening in Meridian needs to stop or slow down. We moved here 17 years ago and it was wonderful and now everything is going downhill. My husband used to be able to drive to St. Alphonsus for work in 20 minutes and now it's taking him 45 minutes or more. It doesn't matter what route he takes. I had to transfer my son to Meridian High School because he has learning difficulties and there was no way he can get the help he needs at Rocky because they are about 800 students over capacity. How can you sit there watching the schools struggle with overcrowding and continue to approve more homes and apartments? Please explain that to me. I don't want to hear how the school district is separate from your responsibilities. You are the leader of this town, you should be helping all areas that made this a great place. I work at an elementary school that is overcrowded and I see the struggle of the teachers and principal. They somehow do an amazing job but building more apartments in this boundary is only going to make things harder on the schools. The building needs to stop and give the rest of the city a chance to catch up. Otherwise, this town is not going to be great for much longer. Please start listening to the people of this city and do what's best for us. We trusted you to handle this city and it is not going well at all. Thank you, Heather Farley
