Summertown Subdivision
I am writing as a concerned citizen and neighbor, and not as a Planning & Zoning Commissioner.
My concern with this development is the number of stories (4). This is completely out of sync with
surrounding developments and will stick out "like a sore thumb." When this application came before
Planning & Zoning, staff had recommended approval at 3 stories max. They had the same concerns.
All developments, and in particular Multi -Family developments need to be scrutinized as to the benefit for
the city. I do not believe that this is truly what is best for the city of Meridian and it's residents. Please
consider this in your decision this evening.
From what I see, the design is still for 4 stories. For the record, I also have concerns with traffic coming off
Venable to Ustick. I don't believe ACHD is required a signal, which I believe is critical to the
development. But for now, my concern is the design of 4 stories, and ask you do deny the application based
upon this.
Thank you
