Our new Comprehensive Plan should dictate whether these code changes are appropriate for Meridian. I
oppose H-2018-0059.
Moving the setback to 1.5' is absolutely insane. Even 3' is ridiculous. This creates a lot more noise and no
privacy. There is a reason why we live in Idaho and not somewhere like New York City. If someone is fine with
living in a "concrete jungle" then they should be living where that is accepted. Please be considerate to our
"true" Idaho residents and why we love living here.
Also, the new naming convention to R-A, R-B, R-C... is more confusing than the current one and completely
obscures the applicant's intent on land use applications.
