Dear Sir and Madam,
It is with a great deal of concern I am writing to you today. I am now aware that a zone change for the property known
as Entrata Farms at
3880-3882 West Franklin Road in Meridian is being proposed.
As a home owner that change would be devastating. Building apartments in such a small area would produce much
congestion and very definitely impact our property values.
We have a railroad that runs the length of our properties, and as the railroad was already there, we knew we would
share the space.
This did not include large apartments. We did not purchase our homes to be over looked by a transient society that is
not vested in our community.
We are already having issues with dwellers from the apartments trespassing and we really don't need anymore issues
for our board to deal with.
We would loose all our privacy and such buildings would change our lives forever by impacting our way of life and the
value of our homes, as three stories of people with no place to look except at us, would make our yards no longer usable
for enjoying our yards, pools, and patios.
As property owners we need our voices heard and we also have a right to speak when our lives will be impacted in such
a manner.
Might I suggest that you possibly take time to do a small impact survey by asking the property owners how they feel
about the apartments behind them? I am sure they would never have bought their properties if they had advanced
knowledge of what was to be built behind them.
I know I would not have purchased this house if I thought this would happen. I am disabled and have PTSD and know
that the lights and noise would force me to move from my forever home, but how would I market it with apartments
behind me fifty feet away? Who would want to live here?
I respectfully request that you not allow this type of dwelling, but propose building homes that can make our
neighborhood larger and more prosperous for the future. Thank you for your time and consideration,
