Re: Preliminary Plat Narrative
On behalf of Jayo Land Development Company, Inc., we are pleased to submit the attached application and
required supplements for the preliminary plat of Cherry Blossom Place Subdivision. Please accept this letter as the
required written narrative regarding the project.
The overall project encompasses approximately 10.25 acres located at 615 W. Cherry Lane, east of W. 7th Street
in Meridian, carrying an R- 4 zone. The land is to be rezoned for medium density single family residential, zoned
R-8. Homes are designed to be single story detached.
This preliminary plat conforms to the requirements and provisions of the UDC, as well as acceptable engineering
and surveying practices and local standards. Additionally, the preliminary plat of this project incorporates the
required 10% required open space. The qualified open space includes the 25' landscape buffer adjacent to W.
Cherry Lane and usable turf area throughout the site. See the Open Space Exhibit plan for additional information.
A 5'-0" wide path has been provided from the adjacent Midtown Square Subdivision east of the site. Additionally, a
10'-0" wide pathway has been provided on site, per the City of Meridian Pathways Master Plan design.
