Subject: Apartments on Ustick
I am HIGHLY opposed to the apartment complex that has been proposed at Ustick and
Venable. The schools and roads are over capacity. Especially with the HUGE new complex at
McMillan and Meridian. I don’t know how the schools will accommodate so many new
students. I work in a local middle school. We are so overcrowded with a lack of funding, adding
even more students puts an unnecessary strain on resources. The more overcrowded a school
becomes, we see more behavior problems.
I am not opposed to the apartment complex that we were told was going in there. Having a
complex that is for adults 55 and over is a better fit. Being 57 myself, I would have liked this
2
option when I needed an apartment.
Another point is, the design of this complex is completely out of the architectural design of the
surrounding communities.
Thank you for your time,
