My name is Robin Warner and I live at 1600 W. 7th Street in Meridian. My husband and I are closing in on our 15th year
living on West 7th Street. We bought our home weeks before our wedding, and here we choose to grow our family here
from two, to the addition of our son and daughter. I am writing in opposition to the rezoning of the Cherry Blossom
Subdivision from R4 to R8.
The proposed Cherry Blossom Subdivision development will effectively turn our neighborhood into a through-
street. This development, 58 houses in a small nook, with bad vehicle access will absolutely change the personality our
neighborhood has had for 60 plus years: kids on bikes, moving between school and friends houses, families walking, and
a breath of calm just off Cherry Lane. This proposed plan is too many houses, and too many cars, without proper outlets,
being pushed through our community. This action will dramatically deteriorate the charm, character and legacy of one
of Meridian's first neighborhoods.
My hope is that you deny the re-zoning of this parcel to R8, because of the impact on the safety and character of my
neighborhood.
