Subject:The Proposed Cherry Blossom Subdivision

Dear Sirs,
This email concerns the proposed Cherry Blossom subdivision by Brecken Landdesign.
My husband and I have lived across the street from the fields on West 7th and have lived in our
house for 39 years and have raised our four children here...and we love Meridian!!
We, as well as many of our neighbors surrounding this proposed development, have concerns
which we hope will be addressed at the Planning and Zoning meeting coming up on April 19th:
1. the size of the tiny lots squeezed together compared to the homes surrounding it
2. the traffic and the cars exiting Cherry Blossom onto West 7th, which would be directly in front
of the foot path that so many children take to get to the schools morning, noon, and evening...we
are concerned for the safety of our children
3. water and irrigation concerns...wells and irrigation ditches...what will we do now???
4. easements, waste water collection, sewer lines (which were recently replaced) and can they
handle the increased density, water system concerns, internet infrastructure, school district impact
fees, etc.
I ask that you would just look at the map I have attached and see the aerial view of the surrounding
neighborhoods around what will potentially be developed. It just does not fit in, as you can see!
I truly hope that our legacy old town Meridian will keep its flavor of older traditional homes with
trees and yards and not fall into what has been developed on the outskirts of Meridian and other
places. I love old town Meridian and its unique flavor from the past and love our downtown area
with all the planters with flowers and trees and vegetation, street lights, easements, walks, etc.
Please preserve what we have here and do not allow something that does not fit in with something
that has been here since the beginning of Meridian.
Thank you for considering our hopes for the future!
