Subject:PLEASE DO NOT BUILD A COSTCO IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
City of Meridian,
After serving in the Navy for 30 years, my wife and I finally returned home to Idaho. We chose to live in Meridian due to
its relative low cost, high quality of living, low crime and quiet rural setting. Putting a Costco Superstore right in the
middle of our neighborhood threatens to destroy everything that we sought when we moved here. There are already two
big box stores within a mile of our home. Putting yet another generator of traffic, noise, pollution and crime threatens
to degrade property values and quality of life for us and our neighbors.
We respectfully request that you reconsider this proposal to locate the new Costco Superstore at the corner of Chinden
and 10 Mile Road.
Respectfully,
Captain Steve Wirsching, RET USN
