Message I wanted to write to let you know that I SUPPORT a Costco in Meridian at the current
proposed location. I am a resident of Paramount subdivision, and I was in support
when rumors were they were interested in building in my subdivision. Meridian is a
growing community, and I am excited to see commercial development finally
catching up with the residential development. Recently there has been an influx of
restaurants opening nearby, so I no longer have to drive to Eagle or Boise to eat.
Similarly, I would like to not have to drive to Nampa or Boise to shop for groceries! I
understand the concerns about traffic, but the people are already here! The houses

have already been built, and I believe this is just another necessary step in supporting
our infrastructure. In relation to Costco specifically being close to a neighborhood, I
understand the concerns, BUT Costco has limited hours (i.e. not open late, not open
on holidays, etc) and I appreciate the concessions they have made for delivery times,
housing buffer, road widening, etc.
