To the city council:
I know there is a very vocal opposition to the proposed Costco in those who live near the site. I live right across
the street in Spurwing Greens. I just want to make sure you know that there are some of us that are very much in
favor of Costco being built and I am one of them (that is unless you are going to build a park there someday,
which I know won't happen).
Costco is a great business and we love shopping there, but wish we had one closer. My feeling is that if it isn't
Costco, it's going to be something else people have some objection to, so why not have it be my favorite store.
Costco doesn't even open until 10AM so it won't affect my morning commute which is the biggest problem with
Chinden.
That get's me to the next point. Chinden needs to be widened! I know there isn't enough money to do it without
businesses like Costco subsidizing much of the cost. If adding businesses like Costco is what is needed to get
Chinden widened, then sign me up!
I know this is going to be a very difficult issue with strong feelings involved, but please take a practical
approach and strongly consider approving the project for Costco.
