Subject:Current Proposed Costco location
I am against the currently proposed location because it is located in a subdivision. It should be located in a commercial
area. And there is a perfectly good one within a mile of the currently proposed location that would not impinge on
anyone’s neighborhood.
I am not an opponent of growth. Far from it. I welcome the growth.
I am not a NIMBY either (Not in My Back Yard), rather I am a NBBY (NO BODY’S BACK YARD!)
I recently moved to this area, and as a matter of fact, have not completely moved yet. I was really looking forward to
coming there for a variety of reasons, one being how nice people are. Well, let me tell you, this issue brought out the
worst in many people. I have been harangued on Next Door and called about every name in the book. All because I
strongly believe this Costco should not be placed in Bainbridge, OR ANY OTHER NEIGHBORHOOD! I can’t even believe
that you as a City Council are entertaining it. Like, it shouldn’t even be under consideration.
Just call me disgusted.
