As a neighbor, I find this specific development really disturbing. I feel that our neighborhood is not set up for such an increase in traffic. The roads around here are already crowded and I can't imagine the result of 59 more houses which would be equivalent to a 128 more cars (taking in consideration 2 cars per household) using the streets. On top of that there's a school crossing right around the area where the developer is proposing an entrance gate which would put kids at risk. Also our streets don't have sidewalks, kids walk on the road. Again, an increase in traffic is not safe for kids or families. Additionally, this neighborhood is part of Old Town Meridian! I feel like HOA's shouldn't be put in the middle of Old Town Meridian but if a develop ment must happen the lot sizes should maintain the already existing ones. Neighborhoods need to blend in together and that development goes against everything else we have around here. I understand development must happen for city's growth but there's a right time and a right place. Meridian is growing fast in population but, unfortunately, infrastructure is not growing at the same rate. That's a formula for disaster. Instead of being known as one of the best places to live in, we are going to be known as Meridian the city of bricks and walls. Too many houses and developments happening here and not enough green areas or road space, balance is important. Before a decision is made on this particular development. I would like to welcome our City Representatives to come by t he neighborhood and see what's at stake. Thank you, Ingrid Dryden
