Thanks Luke. After telling my wife that I submitted information in favor of the new Costco, she
wanted to make it known that she was opposed so I guess we have a divided household She
seems to think it will make Ten Mile road (or main road to getting to the freeway) that more
crowded. She might be right but with Walmart being there, I can’t imagine it getting much
worse.

Hi Bart, sorry for the delay in my response.
Thanks for your email, I love hearing from our citizens on the issues that matter most. I too am a
Costco member and received their letter encouraging citizens to make their opinions known.
Your note is only one of the over 1,000 emails I have received both in favor and opposed to the
proposed development!
It’s important to note this is an ongoing, active land use application. As such I’m prohibited from
commenting on Costco’s plans or anything related to their application while not on the public
record, this includes the proposed road improvements.
That said, I encourage you to follow the process on this application. If you have additional
questions please don’t hesitate to reach out. In addition we stream all public meetings on the city
website, should you want to watch from home.
Again, thanks for reaching out. Meridian is fortunate to have so many caring citizens.
